Our client is the national leader in creating and managing digital content for consumer brands and is the top source of certified brand content for CPG retailers.
With several disparate data sources, a small IT staff and little infrastructure, the client was having major issues managing internal operations and providing visibility into company performance. Additionally, the client struggled to engage external partners, such as brands and retailers, to provide a window into their performance. The client was looking for a solution to create an enterprise data warehouse and a best-in-class presentation layer to engage internal and external customers, without the overhead of infrastructure typically needed.
Messina created a cloud-based EDW/Analytics solution using the Analytics Hub data integration platform as the foundation. The solution features an end-to-end Intelligence as a Service platform from SSIS ETL and MSSQL EDW to Microsoft Power BI and SSRS presentation layers. The platform is hosted in the Microsoft Azure platform, providing zero footprint and an easily scalable solution to ingest data sources and disseminate content as the client grows.
After spending most of their history manually creating and assembling custom data extracts the client now has rich dashboards, scorecards, and reports to measure performance and tell a story to external clients with their data. By combining a cloud based, purpose-built Azure solution and the power of the pre-built data integration tools of the Analytics Hub, the client was able to begin creating powerful front-end content in a matter of weeks. The visual content changed the culture of the company and provided a powerful way for them to engage with external customers, providing a major competitive advantage in their industry.
